Procedures at PRHC (endoscopy, surgical procedures)
There are new safety procedures for entering the hospital. Please see this pamphlet for more information.
If your endoscopic (colonoscopy, gastroscopy) procedure was booked for October 5th or later, your procedure will likely proceed as booked. You will receive an automated telephone call to confirm your appointment.
If your surgical procedure was cancelled due to the pandemic, we are doing our best to rebook your procedure. You will be notified of your new booking date when we are able. For non-urgent cases, there will be a some delay. Patients are re-booked based on urgency of their condition. Please let us know if there is any change in your condition.
If your surgical or endoscopic procedure was cancelled, PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE INQUIRING ABOUT YOUR NEW BOOKING DATE. Our office is working hard to triage our backlog of cases. You will be contacted when your new booking date has been arranged.
Visits to the Peterborough Clinic
Your visit will proceed in person if necessary. You will be required to answer screening questions and REQUIRED to wear a mask. To expedite your entry into building you can print and fill in this form or answer the questions on your mobile phone using this form. If you come in person to the clinic, we encourage you to download and install the COVID Alert app from the App Store or the Google store. This app will help to flatten the second wave of the virus and will help in contact tracing if someone near you has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Dr. Ebisuzaki uses the app and encourages everyone to use it.
Visits may also be performed virtually, by telephone, or using secure video conferencing such as Medeo, or the Ontario Telehealth Network OTN eVisit. Please obtain a referral from your family doctor or nurse practitioner to schedule an initial consultation.
If a referral has been sent, you will be contacted directly phone, email (securely by MEDEO) or by letter mail with a date and time for your appointment. The appointment may be in-person, by telephone, or by videoconferencing.
On the day of your appointment, please have a list of medications that you take ready.
Appointments are booked on the basis of urgency. If your condition becomes more urgent, please have your family doctor or nurse practitioner make us aware of the change in your condition. For routine consultations there may be a wait of several months.
Taking Care of You

You may receive an invitation to book an appointment online, using MEDEO.
Otherwise, call our office the week following your procedure to book an appointment in the suggested timeframe. Leave a message including your name and phone number so we can get back to you.
The Care You Deserve
Please make us aware prior to your visit of any medications you are taking that may worsen bleeding. This includes ASA, Plavix, coumadin, and DOACs/NOACs. Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear.
Please note that Dr. Ebisuzaki does not perform cosmetic procedures.
Some follow up appointments can be arranged online using Medeo, an online appointment booking service, free of charge. You will need an email address to use this service. Please contact our office and leave a message if you are interested in online booking.
